If you are a Vanguard client you might qualify for a special discount on TurboTax. However, we noticed that the discount hasn’t been available lately, so we’re not sure if it’s going to return. Here’s how the Vanguard TurboTax discount works if it’s available this tax year.
How to Get the Vanguard TurboTax Discount:
You might notice that Vanguard TurboTax content on the “Personal Investors” section of their site at vanguard.com:
However, while Vanguard offered a TurboTax discount for a number of years, it looks as though the offer has ended. (See below)

As you can see, the Vanguard TurboTax discount is no longer available, and by clicking the link from Vanguard to TurboTax you’ll get an error page. Looks like the Vanguard.com TurboTax discount has been discontinued indefinitely. Doh!
Alternate Way to Get a Discount on TurboTax?
While the link to the TurboTax discount is unavailable online, it’s possible that Vanguard could send clients an email with a special link to buy TurboTax at a discount like other banks like Bank of America and Fidelity sometimes do. However, as a Vanguard client myself, I have never received such an offer.
The good news is that Mighty Taxes has a similar discount for up to $20 off TurboTax online products.
So, even though you aren’t getting TurboTax through Vanguard.com, it’s the same savings on Deluxe, Premier, and Self-Employed.
Vanguard TurboTax Discount No Longer Available!
If the Vanguard TurboTax discount is offered again, we’ll be sure to post it here. While Vanguard doesn’t offer a discount on TurboTax, we do!
